R+P Post 20: My music video timeline

After planning scenes and shots for our music video we made a timeline to put our ideas together.
This was useful in the following ways:

• It helped us time our shots and decide how long they should go on for
• After making one we knew how many shots and scenes we needed to create and shoot. Then we could start making further useful documents such as a storyboard and shots list.
• It helped us somewhat visualise the whole music video to see if it flowed nicely.

Here is a one minute extract of our timeline.

Although it was simple it served as a nice basic draft of what our music video would become and included the scene details and shot types. The rest of the timeline followed the same format.
